lovely little jems

In case you didn't know... I decided to do something that sort of intimidated me but that I wanted to try for a while now and that is start up my own Etsy shop! It is called Lovely Little Jems. Jems is spelled different but that is because it stands for Josh and Em. Although I create all the items on my shop, I couldn't do it all without him! He inspires me and encourages me to do things that are difficult and things that I love. I am selling headwraps for women and babies as well as women's chunky scarves! I am just in the beginning stages, but things are developing quickly and if you follow me on instagram you can keep up with all the great things that are coming (@lovelylittlejems). Feel free to spread the love as well, as I am just now starting to get my name out there!

I am so glad that I can try out something new and be able to do this from my home so I can still be with Sky all day. That is such a blessing! Wish me luck on my business! ;)

sky's first camping trip

At Estes Park

We went on our first camping trip with Sky this weekend! It was quite the success (for the most part..). She loved being outside, staring at the fire and she actually slept really well! Josh and I didn't sleep that great, but maybe that had something to do with the group of college students that showed up around 8:30pm smelling like marijuana and were very loud allllllll night/morning. I was not happy about that. But we just picked up our stuff early in the morning and headed to Estes Park to walk around and continue enjoying being outside and in the mountains. It was a great little getaway and the weather was perfect. Gotta enjoy these mountains while it is still nice!

4 months

At four months old Sky is starting to get a little more of a personality! Here are some of the things that she is doing right now.

takes her binki out of her mouth but hasn't quite figured out how to get it back in (correctly) and will get mad.
lifts her head up higher during tummy time
nursing is going great for the first time and I am SO glad!
gets distracted when she eats now though, but will look up at me and give me the cheesiest, cutest little smile. How could I get mad at that!
still waking a few times in the night and eating once in the middle of the night
has a full time job of a model for my etsy shop lovely little jems ;)
drools like crazy and is getting her FIRST TOOTH... already!!!
let's anyone hold her and doesn't really have stranger danger yet. But she definitively knows who her mama is.
does standing tricks with daddy
loves to stand whenever she can
blurts out in random high pitched screams
smiling and laughing a little bit more, although she still looks skeptical most of the time
is in the 50th percentile for weight, 25th for height and 85th for head size! Haha I'm not sure how she keeps her head up ;)
still in 0-3 month clothing but I think she is about to move out of those soon...

our first family road trip

We went on our first family road trip last week! I was just slightly nervous with how Sky would do with meeting so many new people and traveling so much, but this girl was PERFECT! We were able to see so many friends and family and it was amazing. We spent time with Park City, Provo, BYU, Orem and Springville and we didn't take nearly as many pictures as should have.
