sisters at the cabin

Bryn, Chari, Cami, me!

We tried to be models, but we need some work ;)

New Christmas boots for all of us!

Cami, Chari, Bryn and I took some sisters pictures up at their cabin! It was SO bright and cold, so we had a hard time getting all of us looking okay at the same time. ;) They are beautiful ladies and I love hanging out with them! I am lucky to have such great in-laws!

best friends

In high school, your friends seem like the most important people in the world, and you think that everyone you knew in high school would still play a big part of your life later on. I always knew this was not going to be the case for me. I always knew that I would have those few great friends that I would always keep in contact with, because although I knew a lot of people I had a few close friends that I would call my besties. While some people still keep in contact with many friends from high school, I have a few. But those people mean so much to me.

Carissa, I am so glad to have kept you a great friend since the 6th grade. It is fun to see the different paths that our lives take us and to see how we both learn and grow. Even though it is hard to talk all the time like we may want to, know that not matter how much time passes between seeing each other, you will always be a best friend and I will always love you! Thanks for the fun time hanging out today and catching up. You are a beautiful, strong, talented, stubborn ;), faith filled person and I am so lucky to have you as my great friend!

Oh, tough guy!

Who would have guessed that I absolutely love to go bb shooting?! Well, I do. Except for in freezing weather. ;) I used to be in a shooting club in 4th grade, and I must admit, I was awesome! Me and my dad have had many great memories with shooting. It was fun spending time with the boys trying to shoot those army men and animals in the backyard.

coral, blue and leopard

Christmas break is filled with spending time with family and pretty much ignoring the rest of the world. Sorry world, but my family are pretty important people. So, here is an outfit post to try and keep up with the blog! Enjoy :)

i can't get enough of this precious face

I think I still do not understand the fact that I am an aunt. But this girl is a special part of my life! I was there when she was born and I have seen her several times since then. It is amazing to see her begin to learn new things, gain a greater personality, and see the light in her eyes. I love the special look on her face when her Papi talks to her or is even close by. I love how good she is in general. I love her fake cry when she is hungry or tired. I love the way she looks when she is swaddled for nap time. I love how she stares up at me with those deep gray eyes as I feed her. I love her extra chubby cheeks and thighs. She is amazing and I am so glad that I have gotten to spend so much time with her over this break. I cannot believe she is 5 months old already. Being an aunt is so awesome! I love you Brynlee!

Just thought I would pop in and let you all know that we did indeed survive finals week. It was challenging, and our brains were fried by the end, but we survived! ;) It felt SO good to be finished. We arrived home in Colorado safely and are so excited to spend all of break with both of our families.

the saddest thing you ever did see

This pictures sums up my entire week. First a bad cold, then a migraine (this picture almost gets close to showing how much pain I was in. Almost. ) and now trying to recover from strep throat. Finals are coming up, we got in a little car accident yesterday, received bad news, my headaches haven't gone away, and I could probably drone on.

But you know, life is somehow still good. I have so many blessings to be thankful and I am so grateful for the power of prayer and the love that God has for me. I am grateful for my mom who knows when its strep before the doctors does. I am grateful for Josh who dotes on me and tries to make me feel as comfortable as possible. I am grateful that I did not procrastinate my huge research paper because it was due yesterday and a couple days this week I was not even able to sit up. I am grateful for medicine to help me feel better. I am grateful for movies to help me through long days. I'm grateful for the hard times because they make the good times just that much better. And I am grateful to know that God will never give me more than He knows I can handle and that He will always be there to help carry my burdens.

This weekend will be one of recovery and preparing a little bit for the last few days of class and finals. I am SO looking forward to going to Colorado for Christmas to see our parents and siblings and be stress free from school for a few weeks.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend, and if not, that you search for the blessings that you have because I can tell you for a fact that I know they are there even if they are hard to see. :)
