My First Ski Trip

I know this is hard to believe but before a few weeks ago, I had NEVER been skiing. Or snowboarding. It makes me rather pathetic considering I have lived in Colorado or Utah for majority of my life, and my hubby LOVES to ski. But anyway. I finally went! The first time down the bunny hill (don't make fun of me) I pretty much said "I don't like this" over and over all the way down. I am not one who enjoys going fast for anything, so any momentum felt like warp speed! But after going down the bunny hill/easy green they decided I was ready for a real green. Well the first few times down the green I rocked it! I sped down the mountain and wasn't falling at all. The problem was that once I got going I had a hard time slowing down/stopping. I didn't do the "big S" thing very well, so i SPED down that mountain. I told Josh I was having a hard time with stopping, but somehow the next round he decided I was okay by myself and took off. Well, of course, I totally fell and my skiis came off and for the life of me I couldn't get them back on. Let's just say I wasn't too happy about that, but I tried my best, asked some random people to help and Josh finally realized I was still struggling on the mountain and came and got me. Eventually I got down. Then the next round my confidence was shaken. I wasn't feeling good about it and I really just wanted a break! But of course I had to go back down the mountain. And of course as I was going down I had a HUGE fall/yard sale (skiis and poles went flying and I went rolling down the mountain.) And at that point I was done. Haha. That was enough for me! Oh and our awesome friends were there with us and pretty much rocking it the whole time ;)  And that was my first experience skiing.

Trip to San Antonio

Between now and January Josh has traveled to 6 different cities. That is a lot of travel for him (and for me) but for his last trip for a little while we found cheap tickets for me so I decided to tag along! The plane ride was just fine both ways (although Sky cried for maaybe 3 minutes on the way home as I was trying to get her to fall asleep and the lady in front of me was huffing and puffing and saying out loud how she couldn't sleep and I may have wanted to smack her....). Sky played on her first play set (where she climbed her first stair) and she loved it! We went to the San Antonio River walk. We ate way too much Mexican food. We went to the hot tub at our hotel and ended up in it with 17 high school boys. Sky and I walked around by ourselves and went to visit Josh while he worked the convention. We visited the Alamo. I got to have lunch with a good friend, Katie, who I haven't seen in years! Overall, a successful little trip and I was glad I could tag along!

She stands by herself now. AH!

Climbing her first stair.

19th floor here we come.

Picture fail!

Why do hotels seem to have the oldest most uncomfortable looking cribs??

what a cheese ball!

Sky and I ready to go explore.

Alamo Cafe. yum!

Yelling at us for food of course.

Past her bedtime and she still did great.

Morning snuggles!

Valentine's Day

My little Valentine! We were out of town on Valentine's Day. I was at my parent's house the week before because Josh was out of town again. So we decided to have a little fun and dress Sky up for a little Valentine's Day photoshoot! ;) She did NOT want to look at the camera and she mostly just wanted to crawl away, so we only got a few good ones ;) She is just such a doll! I am one lucky mama.
