Arizona Adventure

Hello to all!  This may come as a surprise to all who read this blog, including Emily (she doesn’t know I am writing this) because today’s post is coming from the one and only Joshua Kurt Peterson.  For all of you who have been losing sleep over trying to guess my middle name, you can now rest peacefully.  Now I know you might think that it’s been a long time since I have done anything for this blog but that is quite false…who do you think takes the majority of the pictures on this blog?  Me J  I don’t really have a say in it though…Emily is obviously a lot better looking than me which by default makes me the one who has to stand behind the camera rather than in front of it.

This past week was a fun new experience for me as I was able to learn more about the sales side of Nutraceutical (the company I am interning for).  When I expressed my desire to my boss to possibly pursue sales after college, he gave me the opportunity to spend some time in Phoenix at a couple of retail stores and also shadow a Sales Rep for two days out in the field.

One of the nights I wanted to get out so I decided to go to an Arizona Diamondbacks baseball game by myself.  I had only previously been to a Colorado Rockies game so I figured it would be fun, not to mention I love baseball.  I ended up buying a ticket from a guy on the road for $10 which as you can imagine put me up in the “nose bleed” section.  After watching one inning in that seat I decided I would attempt to move down to the middle level of the stadium.   This only kept me content for about two innings until I decided I would try to move closer.  As I made the daring move to the ground level seats I was lucky enough to time my entrance just right when the ticket checker briefly walked away.  I had great seats and was enjoying the game, yes even by myself.  It wasn’t long after that I began to think about how cool it would be to sit front row.  After spotting an open seat I watched for a couple innings to see if anyone would be coming back to reclaim their spot.  To my surprise it remained open the entire time.  At the end of the sixth inning I made my move…success!! I realized that not only was I sitting front row but I was sitting in a special padded seat section.  I soon became friends with those around me and enjoyed the rest of the game from my padded front row seat.

I had never seen an indoor stadium...it was really cool

I sat right next to this seat valued at $140
