2 weeks old

Well a little later than planned I finally got the last pictures in this black dress for a collage I am going to put together. Since hubby works all day, I had to improvise these pictures by myself with my tripod, so they might not be the absolute best but I  think they turned out decent!

Here is my little update on Skyler:

• At her first doctor appointment when she was just 9 days old she weight 8.3 pounds (67%) an was 20.5 inches long (62%), with a head circumference of almost 15 inches which puts her in the 99%!! I guess I didn't realize she had such a big head!!
• From day one she has made the funniest faces! She is super expressive. Mostly she looks scared or confused and it keeps us very entertained.
• She is like clockwork and eats every three hours.
• She makes A LOT of noise when she sleeps. 
• Her hands are always at her face and she sucks on them all the time.
• Waking up is a difficult task for her. She makes lots of noises, stretches, grunts and even then it can take her 20 minutes just to wake up.
• When she does officially wake up she usually cries because she is hungry and wants to be fed right away.
• Other than hunger she only really cries/fusses when we change her diaper or get her dressed. She is a pretty good baby!
• We discovered at week one that she is tongue tied so breastfeeding has been quite the challenge!
• She has a strong neck and likes to lift her head up.
• She smiles a lot in her sleep and I've even heard her laugh and cry in her sleep.
• Night time she does a decent job sleeping. Usually she wakes up around 11, 1, 4 and 7. It is still hard to get up that often in the middle of the night, but I think once she gets a little older and doesn't need to eat every 2-4 hours, she will do well at sleeping! Hopefully we can make it until then ;)
• She has blonde hair and blue eyes and I think her hair is going to be wavy.

Overall she is a fabulous baby and I just kiss her and stare at her most of the day long! We are in love with her and are loving being parents so far.
